Instructions:
1. Char Siu Marinated with Royal Umami Sauce:
Let's begin with the star of the show, the flavorful Char Siu. Marinate the pork butt generously with the royal umami sauce. Allow it to soak in all that savory goodness for at least 30 minutes. The longer, the tastier!
2. Set Up the Steaming Scene:
In your trusty Bricknic Cooking Brick, fill it with water until it's just underneath the Bricknic Airmail Steaming inlet. This will be our steaming secret weapon.
3. Steam Those Bao Buns:
Place your lovely bao buns on top of the Bricknic Airmail Steaming inlet and lovingly tuck them inside the Bricknic Cooking Brick. Close it up, creating a steamy paradise for your buns.
4. Grill the Char Siu:
Fire up your kamado grill. Grill that marinated Char Siu with open flames until it's beautifully charred and irresistibly tender.
5. The Perfect Duo:
Place your Bricknic Cooking Brick with the Airmail Steaming inlet right next to the Char Siu inside the Kamado grill. They're going to become best buddies in this flavorful journey. Steaming and grilling next to each other at the same time.
6. Steam, Grill, Magic:
Keep a watchful eye. Once the buns are perfectly steamed and the Char Siu is gorgeously grilled, it's time to unleash the magic.
7. Assemble the Delight:
Now comes the fun part! Take a soft, steamed bao bun and load it up with slices of your juicy Char Siu. Add a handful of fresh coriander for a burst of freshness and a sprinkle of chili shavings for that kick.
8. Pickled Veggie Love:
Don't forget the pickled vegetables! Those thinly sliced onions, carrots, and cucumber bring a delightful crunch and tanginess that completes this flavor extravaganza.
9. Crown with Royal Umami and sesame seeds:
Last but not least, drizzle a generous amount of royal umami sauce over your masterpiece and add a sprinkle of sesame seeds. Let it flow and mingle with all the other flavors.Β
